Westroads Rheumatology Associates offers patients individualized, expert specialty care, convenient on-site diagnostic and infusion therapy services, and cutting edge clinical research, in a welcoming and supportive environment.

We are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, osteoporosis, vasculitus, ankylosing spondylitis, inflammatory muscle disease and many other connective tissue diseases. We also diagnose and treat fibromyalgia, tendonitis, bursitis and other causes of musculoskeletal pain.

William R. Palmer, MD, MACR


Dr. William Palmer, MD has practiced Rheumatology in the Omaha community since 1978. He has excelled not only in patient care, but has also become a recognized leader in clinical research, studying the newest and most effective treatments for rheumatic disease.

Dr. Palmer is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in both Internal Medicine and the Subspecialty of Rheumatology. He has received Master status in the American College of Rheumatology while practicing clinical Rheumatology in Omaha for 37 years.

Conveniently located onsite at Westroads Rheumatology Associates, the Westroads Infusion Center offers a comfortable environment for our patients who have been prescribed intra-venous therapy for rheumatic conditions including arthritis, osteoporosis, and lupus.

The team at Westroads Clinical Research has over 100 years combined experience in conducting clinical trials, meeting the high level of credentials and expertise necessary to be selected as a clinical research site. We have studied the success and safety of some of the most effective and commonly prescribed treatments for rheumatic diseases, including Remicade, Humira, Celebrex, Enbrel, and Simponi.
